Kakheti Area Development Center has opened another Child and Parent Education and Development Center in Akhmeta Municipality.

Child and Parent Education and Development Center is provding a sub-program of  Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Health, Labour and Social Affairs of Georgia - Early Childhood Development. The program's focus on children aged 0-7 with developmental delays or at risk is vital for early intervention by providing appropriate services. 

The official opening ceremony of the center was held on October 18. The event was attanded by the representatives of local municipality and various public agencies focused on children's welfare. The event emphasized the role the center will play in supporting children and their families in Akhmeta Municipality by providing variety of services.

It should be noted that there was no supporting services for children with disability or special needs untill now in Akmeta Municipality. 

Rehabilitation works were carried out with the financial support of Akhmeta Municipality, along with the contribution of Kakheti Area Development Center for its material and technical setup.
